For LandSpan.com to function properly while logged on, you must ensure that
your browser will
accept session cookies from landspan.com and also to check for new
versions of pages each time.
For most users, nothing has to be done for landspan.com to work; however,
some of us may have
changed their default browsers settings for one reason or another. This
document will cover the most
common areas for correcting the problem with session variable acceptance.
Regardless of what you may have heard, accepting session cookies is not
harmful to your PC and does not violate your privacy.
The session cookie does not track anything about you except for the fact that
you have established a session with landspan.com.
The session variables that store data related to your session are actually saved
on the landspan.com server.
The only item stored on your computer is a small piece of data the identifies
your session on landspan.com.
When you end your landspan.com session, this session data disappears from your
PC and landspan.com.
Each time you load your browser and access landspan.com, a new session is
established and
each time you exit, that session goes away.
Without the session variables, landspan.com has no way of preserving your
session login authentication when you move from page to page.
This documentation is geared for IE version 7, but should also be fairly accurate for IE 6.
From the Tools menu, select "Internet Options"

In the General tab, under Browsing History section, click the "Settings" button.

Ensure the "Every time I visit the webpage" is selected, then the click "OK" button.

Now, click the "Privacy" tab and then the "Advanced" button.

Uncheck "Override automatic cookie handling".
If you MUST have this box checked, ensure that you have checked "Always allow session cookies".
Click "OK" when done.

Now, also on the "Privacy" tab, click on the "SITES" button.
If landspan.com is not listed, type it in the "Address of website" box and click the "Allow" button.

Unloaded and re-load your browser.
If landspan.com is still not letting you get to pages you should have access to, try re-booting your PC (yes, I've seen this be the key to success after these changes).
Other things you can try.
In the General tab, under Browsing History section, click the "Delete" button, then click "Delete Files".
This will NOT do any harm. Actually, users should perform this once a
month to clean up their browser cache files.
When your browser cache (space allotted for temporary internet files) fills up,
it can cause performance issues on your PC; especially
during internet usage.
